SACRAMENTO – The Bureau of Cannabis Manage right now issued the following statement from Bureau Chief Lori Ajax relating to Weedmaps’ announcement that it would no longer promote illegal cannabis companies:
“Yesterday’s announcement by Weedmaps is a step forward for the legal California cannabis market, which will help buyers in identifying licensed cannabis companies when hunting to buy secure cannabis. The Bureau is continuing enforcement activities against companies not complying with cannabis marketing laws.”
In June, the Bureau officially kicked off its “Get #Weedwise” campaign to encourage buyers to only shop at licensed retailers. For extra details on the campaign, please visit https://www.bcc.ca.gov/buyers/weedwise.html
All industrial cannabis activity in California calls for a state-issued license from a single of the state’s 3 cannabis licensing authorities. Promoting cannabis goods without having a state license is a violation of state law. To file a complaint against illegal activity, click right here –https://bcc.ca.gov/buyers/file_complaint.html
