Amazon Drop-Off at UPS Store Issue

I returned some speakers that I bought off Amazon. I chose the “Drop-off at UPS Store” option where I take the box to a UPS Store and they print the label etc. and hand be a receipt showing that I’ve dropped off package. I’ve done this many times without issue. However, I’ve run into a snag now.

So, I dropped off the box and I was given a “Drop-off Package Receipt.” The receipt lists the date of drop-off, location, weight, and tracking number.

I dropped of on October 8th and when I go and track, all I get is “Label Created.” Normally, the item should have reached Amazon already.

I contacted Amazon multiple times and my case was forwarded to their “Return Department.” The “Returns Department” basically said:

Upon checking the return tracking details with UPS tracking number : REDACTED, I see that no package received by UPS with the requested return. UPS website tracking also confirms the same.

We suggest that you contact the carrier for this shipment to initiate an investigation, file a claim, or inquire about other options they may have available.

I visited the UPS Store and the attendant told me to call Amazon.

At this point, I’m not sure what to do.

UPDATE: After reading the responses here, I called Amazon again for the 4th time and this time the rep sort of jerry-rigged a refund based on a different order.
